A funeral service for Max Duane Belvin, 78, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with the Rev. Chad Calhoun officiating.
Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery in Mount Vernon with John Bailey, Tony Davee, Kent Coker, Don Bailey, Calvin Fleming and Ed Gentry serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Max Duane Belvin died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Rock Creek Health and Rehab.
He was born in Pebsworth, Okla., on June 16, 1935, the son of Dewey and Gladys Madding Belvin.
He married Naomi Kay Moore in Lake Jackson on May 23, 1980. She survives.
He was a retired chemical plant operator and a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
Other survivors include daughters Kathy Bailey and husband, John, of Houston, Brenda Davee and husband, Tony, of Austin and Jan Coker and husband, Kent, of Eustace; grandchildren Kristen Marquardt, Kevin Bailey, Kim Hadaway, Jared Davee, Daniel Coker and and Peter Coker; and great-grandchildren, Bailey Marquardt and Penny Davee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Duane Belvin; and grandson Andrew Coker.
Memorials may be made to Lake Highlands Baptist Church Youth and/or Children's Ministry, 1500 College St., Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482.
