BOSSIER CITY – Michael McDonald of Doobie Brothers fame will be in concert in the Paradise Theater at Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City on Friday, April 11.
McDonald began his career singing back-up vocals with Steely Dan. He was a member of The Doobie Brothers from 1976 to 1982, a partnership that resulted in several hit songs, including “What A Fool Believes.”
McDonald has won five Grammy Awards.
After the Doobie Brothers’ first farewell tour, McDonald released his debut solo album, “If That’s What It Takes,” in 1982 on Warner Brothers. The album featured the hits “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near)” and a duet with his sisters Kathy and Maureen, and “I Gotta Try,” a song co-written with Kenny Loggins, who recorded it as well.
Tickets are $50 for floor level, $60 for club level, and go on sale Friday, Feb. 14, via Ticketmaster. Tickets are also available at the Margaritaville Retail Store.
