Last week’s snow was pretty while it lasted, but I am glad that it is over now. I was proud that it was so light and fluffy and that there was hardly any ice at all after the accumulation. Several area schools dismissed early that day and then had delayed starts the next day.
From all accounts, I believe Miller Grove school’s “Daddy-Daughter Dance” was a complete success. The dance was held Saturday night (Feb. 8) in the school’s cafeteria. I have seen pictures posted all over Facebook and I know that my niece had a great time dancing with her daddy at the dance. She told me all about it before church on Sunday.

On Feb. 15, Miller Grove FFA students will hold the annual Miller Grove International Livestock Show. The show will be held again this year at Miller Grove Roping Arena on FM 275, 1 mile south of the school. Students will begin preparations during the week and will showcase their animals on Saturday as practice for the larger NETLA Show that will take place at Hopkins Regional County Civic Center Feb. 20-22. Good luck to all of our students!
