Congratulations to our Lady Hornets Volleyball Team! Even though they didn’t win their game against Big Sandy last night at least they made it to the regional quarter-finals which is a huge accomplishment! We won one out of the four sets played at the game.
This week, Gail Garmon and I will submit our application for a historical marker to the state to for approval for a historical marker for County Line School. Keep your fingers crossed that we are accepted and all goes well.
Monday the school had their second annual Veteran’s breakfast to honor the local veterans. I heard that all went well again this year with the project. If you are a veteran and didn’t know about the breakfast please contact Cherrie Bessonett at Miller Grove School so that she can add your name to her contact list.
After getting to visit with my cousin, Hunter, for a few days I hated for him to go back to Hawaii to the base where he is stationed. It was really good to get to see him. Last Friday night I was able to take him, his fiancé (Tiffany Goldsmith) and our cousin Nathan Petty to eat at Babe’s in Garland. We all had a good time and stopped by Bass Pro Shops on the way home.
