Floyd and Martha Payton enjoyed a busy weekend. Regina Payton visited with them from Friday through Monday morning and they all attended the wedding of David Honzell and Trish Gosse. The ceremony was held at eleven o’clock on Sunday morning at the Victorian House in Kaufman. Guests were treated to a beautiful buffet lunch, reception, and movies of both growing up into adults. Martha reports, “The Victorian House is a very unique place, with its own wedding chapel, swimming pool and lovely landscaping.” She also wants to express thanks to all the visitors who were in attendance at the Tira Methodist Church on Sunday to hear lay speaker James Cowley. She comments, “He always has an excellent message. Sorry, we missed being there.” Chip and I were among the visitors and I would echo Martha’s sentiments. James did a great job!
We are proud to share that our daughter, Tiffany Joslin, recently graduated with honors from Paris Junior College, where she earned her associate’s degree in kinesiology.
Chip and I enjoyed the gospel music presented by Acapella and Living Sacrifice on Saturday evening. The concert was scheduled to be presented on the square, but was moved to the League Street Church of Christ due to the welcome rain. Following the concert, we had some delicious food downtown.
