Sandra Wester and Linda Andrasko went to Arkansas on Wednesday to meet the Jeter family for a few days of vacation. They stayed in a house with a beautiful view of Beaver Lake. They went to Bentonville on Thursday to the Crystal Bridges Art Museum
and later visited Sam Walton’s original 5-10 store on the square in Bentonville. It rained on Friday so they just enjoyed a lazy day at the lake. Friday night Joe, Jill, Chelsea and Alyssa Jeter and Travis Houston went to Eureka Springs take a ghost tour of a hotel. On Saturday Sandra, Linda, and Lou joined the rest of the group for a trip into Eureka Springs where they enjoyed lunch. Sandra, Linda, Lou and Joe returned to the lake with a few stops at antique stores along the way. The younger folks stayed to do a little more prowling around Eureka Springs. They came in Saturday night and Travis’ friend, Mike, who lives in the area came over to visit with his daughter, Lilith. Linda and Sandra returned to Tira on Sunday and the Jeters returned to Temple. Linda returned to Henderson Monday afternoon.
Danny and Judy Rawson spent Thursday through Sunday with Danny’s mother, Mary Rawson. Mary’s granddaughter and great-granddaughter, Michelle and Sophie Markides, arrived on Saturday. On Saturday afternoon, July 20, after attending the Vaughn Family Reunion at the North Hopkins School, which was attended by about 68 family members, Chip and I drove to New Orleans for the UpTech Oil and Gas Summit. On Sunday, we went to the Sculpture Garden at City Park, and then got a pass for the streetcar and spent the rest of the day sightseeing around the city, before the registration and reception that evening. The conference ended at noon on Tuesday and Chip and I stopped in Lafayette for some more Cajun food on our way home!
