Well, July is over and what do we remember. Cooler temperatures and a lot of rain highly unusual for Texas Julys, thank the Lord for our blessings. So now if only he could rid us of these grasshoppers. I saw a sign yesterday that said it all “Free Grasshoppers You Pick.” Funny but I would offer some to anyone who needed catfish bait.
I wanted to let everyone know that we are seeing Road Runners on our road. We saw three in a space of 15 minutes last week.
School is fast approaching and I would like everyone to take a look at their clothes closet and remember the School Clothes Drive on Aug. 24. This drive is sponsored by First United Methodist Church of Sulphur Springs. The purpose of the Clothes Drive is to help others provide clothes for the new school year. It is not only for children though. There will be all sizes of clothes. Each item will be priced to sell for “25 cents.” We will begin taking clothing donations on Aug. 5 at the Family Life Building. There you will find boxes to put your clothes. Hope to see you there and remember to clean out your extra things and bring them to share.
We have so blessed with all of this rain lately. Last Friday, we experienced a double rainbow in the eastern sky. It was incredible.
I have had a great time with my grandchildren this week: Sable, Colby, Rorie, Khira, Tate and Zack. Never a slow or dull minute.
Please send a prayer up for a special friend who is suffering with feet problems. Praying for the son of a friend we lost this week. Praying for our leaders and praying for healing for the lost. May God bless these people and keep them in his care.
There seems not much to write about this week. We are still working out at Brashear Baptist Church with P31 so if any ladies would like to join us. Your first time is free. Next week, begins the regular sessions, exercise on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7 p.m. to 8 pm. Would love to have you join in the fun.
