School will be starting before we know it. I believe Miller Grove starts on Aug. 26, so just a little over a month to go. My little niece, Savanna, will be starting pre-kindergarten this year. That is so hard for me to believe!
I heard that June Garmon has had some company lately. Her grandson, Russ’ son Blake, has been staying with her and visiting family. He has just graduated from his schooling and is now a medical doctor. I’m sure June and the family will get plenty of medical advice from their family physician, Dr. Garmon.
Saturday I went with my cousin, Nathan Petty, to Bass Pro Shop in Garland and on the way we stopped at Dickey’s BBQ in Rockwall and had supper. It was really good, too. It was a little expensive, but barbecue usually isn’t cheap.
Well, I have been employed at Farmers Electric Coop in Greenville for a whole month and they haven’t fired me yet so I guess I’m doing pretty good. I am really enjoying the change of pace and the interesting phone calls that I get from time to time. My stress level has decreased considerably since taking the job and I have even enjoyed the drive to and from Greenville each day.
