My goodness, is it fall? This weather is awesome. We have not turned our air conditioner on yet and we are reaching cover by early morning. Loving this cool weather, if only the grasshoppers would just disappear. Funny thing, I ran into Katie Patterson and she asked how big are our grasshoppers? I told her not too big yet. She said hers were just right to go catfish fishing. I love me some catfish. Guess I will have to try this.
Fourth of July festivities are cranking up in Brashear. I would like everyone in Brashear who likes food, fun and games to show up at the Brashear Baptist Church around 6 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. for all of the above and more. There will be bounce houses, a slide show to honor the military, firemen, first responders and others who serve us. This is a way to say thank you from Brashear Baptist Church. They will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers with all of the fixings. So come one, come all and be ready for a good time.
Our garden news is that the cantaloupes are getting ripe. Tom picked 60 yesterday and about 30 more this afternoon. They are really good. I just want to ask how everyone else's tomatoes are growing. We are getting some really bumpy ones. Not sure why, just wanted to ask how your garden tomatoes are growing.
