Linda and Mick Petty took a short trip to Fredericksburg last week. The first night they stayed with Ken and Suzi Chapman in Belton and enjoyed dinner, a great visit, then a great breakfast. From there they went to Austin and had lunch with Chris and Robin Petty and saw their beautiful new home. Then on to Fredericksburg for
some sightseeing and a hamburger at the Alamo Street Cafe. On the way home, they stopped to visit an old friend, Delores Penny, whom they had not seen for about 30 years. Linda says, “Nice road trip but always glad to return to Tira.” On Sunday afternoon Mick and Rick met Ken in Arlington and went to the Rangers game. It was a beautiful day for baseball and the Rangers won.
Daylee Fite's team, “The Horns,” played their sixth softball game this week. Mike and Valaree Fite and Sandra Wester were there to see her play. On Friday night, Kathy Day attended the winning game along with Sandra. So far they are undefeated. Sherry Smiddy returned from another week in Chicago. They had horrible storms and flooding and on the last day it was snowing. Sherry comments, “The weather there is as unpredictable as Texas weather!”
