Exciting spring break weekend here in Brashear — several mailboxes in the area were damaged on Saturday night. I hope that is not a sign of things to come during spring break.

The mailboxes were on county roads 1100, 1119 and 1116, and there may still be some I do not know about. Please call the sheriff's office to report this. The sheriff said that it was important to make sure we called in our physical address.
Brashear Bash is fast approaching, and I know you will all want to be a part of this great community happening. Remember that you can rent a table (spot), or bring maps to your house for your own garage sale. We want everyone to have a chance to clean out things around the house. More news will be coming on the meal that will be offered for a fundraiser.
Tom said he has seen a lot of deer the last two mornings. The cold weather must have brought them out. Our kids came out this weekend and boy did they catch the fish. Who would have thought this early in the spring we could catch fish.
Garden is looking good. Tom said we will have turnip greens later on this week. Anyone interested, let me know. The rain and sunshine is helping the garden to grow real fast.
Thanks to Brashear Baptist Church for their food ministry for shut-ins. My mom sure has enjoyed the meals. This is such a great thing you are doing.
Well, exercise time is creeping up, and I was wondering if there is anyone interested in working out together. Please let me know if you are interested. I would like to get in shape for the summer. It doesn't hurt that it is good for our health.
Hey, has anyone gone by the library lately? You are able to download books from the internet and music. Great opportunities are everywhere. Go by the library and get all the information. Our library is really working on being more up to date.
Thanks to Beth Wisenbaker for returning my inquiry into road conditions. Our road is so-o-o-o bad you almost risk the muddy road on CR 1100. She is promising to have some work on the road soon. You just shake rattle and roll while you drive down the road.
We are looking for someone who works on four-wheel vehicles. We have one which needs some work. Call us if you know of someone who can help us out.
I have run out of information so please let me know what is happening in your neck of the woods. Just call me at 903-612-8806; email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; or just drop CR 1119. May God bless you and yours.
