Cowboys fire running back coach, duh

Skip Peete will have to skip town, now that he is out of a job.

On hearing that the Cowboys had fired their running back coach of six years, I was not surprised. I even remarked that "they need better running backs" not a new coach.

Then I looked closer at Peete's points, what had he done?

During his six years the Cowboys have not had a 1,000 yard rusher. Well, that is shocking.

The 2012 season was the worst 16-game rushing total for any team in the history of the Dallas Cowboys franchise.

Felix Jones, who managed 402 yards, is out looking for work. His resume is hardly sparkling. Same is true for Peete.

Maybe Peete did make a difference. Perhaps a new coach would  the running backs would seem faster and harder to tackler.

I still blame the GM as I have for years.

It's Jerry's ball in Jerry's world.
