Well I have some news. First, Clint George and family found their dogs tonight. He had called me Tuesday morning to give a description and a shout out to all of you who might help find his two dogs. Well, he found them on their way to Miller Grove. I guess they thought things might be better there. No just kidding, glad he found them because his boys were very sad.

I want to send a happy birth- day out to Laurie Brown on Oct. 19. I will not give her age because a lady does not want her age out.

I heard that Mary Jo Rogers is in the hospital, and we want to pray that she gets better real soon.

Happy birthday to James Christian. I will be able to tell him his age, 80. Praying his day is full of love and joy.

I drove by the Brashear store on Monday afternoon and our Longhorn with the saddle was in attendance. Will the man who saddles up the longhorn, call me so I can get his name right? Thanks.

Weather has been interesting. It starts out warm and before lunch it is cool, and then warm again before dark. Only in Texas do you want to change clothes three times in one day.

Tom saw a big buck in our dri- veway last Saturday. We have not seen any deer in our area for a while. My grandson and I went out looking but never saw him again. Beware in our area; he may jump out in front of you at any time.

Brashear area lost a good man this week, Bill Campbell. Our prayers are going out to his fami- ly.

I will be attending Cumby Telephone’s barbecue Saturday. If you are there, please look me up and introduce yourself. I love meeting new people.

This weekend is a Man's Emmaus Walk. If interested in signing up for the prayer time, please go to netemmaus.org. These men would appreciate knowing that there are people praying for them.

On Oct. 23, Tom and I will be starting a DivorceCare group for anyone who is separated or divorced and in need of healing. We will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Just want to give a comment about last week's football game. What a game! It felt like the state 2008 game. Wow! I was exhaust- ed. I know the players were. Go Wildcats! Great win!

As each day goes by, remem- ber that you are blessed just by getting up and facing each morn- ing — the alternative is not too good. Quote from a woman from a nursing home. Thought that said it all. I love doing this arti- cle, but I cannot do it very well without some input from all of you in Brashear and the sur- rounding area. So remember to email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; call me at 903-612-8806; or come on by and visit at County Road 1119. Stop by and find out why we have so many barns. Ha!
