Graduating SSHS band students have earned scholarships at several universities. To celebrate their good fortune, the school hosted a “signing day” for these musicians. How much fun for these kids!

Hopkins County Relay for Life teams always find creative ways to raise money. This morning, you could pay to tape someone to a wall at Alliance Bank. On Saturday, you might find some treasures at a garage sale at Evening Chapel CME Church, along with more sweet treats at their bake sale.

Saturday’s performance begins at 7 p.m. Sunday’s matinee is a 2 p.m. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear some of the best voices in this area put their special spin on “Unforgettable” love songs.

Several Sulphur Springs High School classes are hosting reunions this summer. Don’t pass up the chance to reconnect with old friends and share memories of a simpler time. Nothing compares to life-long friendships forged on playgrounds, football fields and dance floors of our youth.

Members of the Hopkins County Fall Festival board are busy planning this year’s events, including a “Catfish and Country” night, “Praise Fest”  and, of course, the Cover Girl competition. Sounds like a lot of fun is coming our way.
