I spoke with Robert Patrick at the gym the other day and he confirmed that the TV series "Last Resort" would not be picked up for next season. I really liked that show.

Robert plays Master Chief Prosser, the COB (Chief of the Boat)
They do a lot of the filming in Haiku Valley where I live.

Me and the wifey had planned to put that show on our watch list --- but missed the first couple of episodes and never picked it up.

What exactly was the premise?

the premise was a nuke sub had been ordered to fire on a country, it's capt requested orders through normal channels or confirmation, which never came.
they were then fired upon by other american ships.
the sub escaped and fled to an island where they took over a UN post.
things sort of came to a head and they fired a nuke at DC and then sent it well out into the Atlantic.

some well known actors in it - or should i say familiar faces. captain i recognize his face but can't recall his name.

we really enjoy that show and make a point to watch it every week. we will stop what we're doing to watch it. i'll miss watching the show.

Andre Braugher doesn't look anything in person like he does in the movies.
I saw and spoke with him all the time in the gym and had no idea who he was until my trainer told me he was on the TV show with Robert.
I think that's why actors and famous people like Hawaii. No one hear makes a big deal about them being famous... just treat them like everyone else.

I don't really post it, I just Cut & Past what I write and then Past it onto this forum.
I never really had much luck trying to use the picture attachments on this site.
I understand there are picture sites like Photobucket or something you can use.

NO can't do it...
Tried attaching a picture using the "Select image file to attach" and the "Select file to attach" options.... NOTHING.
I don't know how this site works.

Help, how do you post a picture?

There is a link when you post a reply at the top in the "Boardcode" area. It looks like a small picture with a frame and a chain link below it. Click that and paste the URL for the image you want to use and click insert.

Alternatively you can use the tags [img] and [/img] at the beginning and end of the image URL respectively.

Andre Braugher was a detective on the gritty Homicide Life on the Street, one of the most genuine cop shows ever. Andre was probably the best actor on the show. His depiction of a stroke victim was superb. My wife and I did not miss this series.

He also starred in Men of a Certain Age. Unfortunately, the writers did not know where to go with the plot. This was also the problem with Last Resort. It would have made a great 3 hour movie, but not a TV serial. Pity.

By the way, Stan, if Andre is working out, he needs a new trainer. Don't we all?

The show finished shooting a few weeks ago and we don't see them at the gym any more. Must have moved back to the Mainland.

Last week they said to watch next week for the "season' finale. Doesn't sound like it's ending. Hopefully they changed their minds.
