As to the lamb etc - I vote we get a delegation and go over to the Little Chef's for a Middle Eastern meal. I bet he'd love to put on a feast.
I vote for Arts Junkie to organize it.
I think this is a splendid idea.
Elias is open on Friday nights, but a Middle Eastern meal AND his regular menu might be too much. He told us last week that cooking Lebanese takes a long time.
What if we ask (1) if he is still willing to do this for us .... and (2) what night he would prefer?
Would that work for everyone?
It works for me 100%. What would we tell him.? Make a Lebanese feast for x number of people. Maybe he would be willing to do something if we promised $20 - 25 a person. I have no idea - maybe it wouldn't even be that much. I did a good search for Lebanese recipes and they seemed to have a lot with chicken, if lamb is too high - or he doesn't want to fool with it. Personally, I think Elias would be happy to share some of his culture with us.
