SS Symphony League Auction 4 Months ago Karma: 6
I was looking for the list of items the league is auctioning. I guess it hasn't been submitted to the newspaper yet. Does anyone know if the league has a website? I searched for that too but couldn't find one. I love the auctions, but can't watch them on tv since I don't have cable in my area. I know it will be on KSST radio, but it isn't quite the same as watching it. Thought I might get a hotel room for the night just so I could watch and participate. :

Newsflash on KSST's website says the Symphony auction is moved to Saturday, Nov.21.

Friday night at 7:30, the Wildcats play in Corsicana against a Waco team.

You know, that symphony auction is really one of the corniest things in the world. I mean, bidding on an oil change and a fruit basket??

But I LOVE it. Corny or not it's really kind of fun. And I want that fruit basket!!

OH WAIT!! MUDDY JAKES HAS SOME STUFF IN THERE!! WHOOO ... I'M GOING FOR THAT!!

Thanks for the update, Muu.

Yes, JB, it is fun and a bit silly, but I do enjoy it and it's great for the kids strings program. Can't wait to get home and check the paper. I don't think my phone will open the PDF files.

It was several years ago, but I REALLY got into the whole thing and kept bidding and bidding and bidding. I think I was bidding on every single item they were bringing up. It was like a gambling addiction -- only I was "betting" on auction items. I used to love the "coke a day" at Super Handy! I never won that one, but I sure bid it up several times!
