Is it really going to happen? 3 Years, 8 Months ago
We have a pretty good idea that the Republicans are sitting pretty in the congressional races, but I am curious as to what people think about the local/district races. Cletus has a very strong candidate that is a good man and this is his strongest challenge yet, from what I can tell. Mark Homer is a great person and is focused on the needs of rural Texas, which works for me. But he has a very well funded and intellectual candidate against him in the fall, Erwin Cain. How do the board members think this will go down? Traditionally, the NE Texas vote has been split ticket voters and the majority are independent and vote for the person and not the party. Will that change this time? As I said, Erwin is a wonderful Christian man, but so is Mark. The difference is that Mark has 10 years of tenure and is a committee chair. Will NE Texas be willing to make a change after all these years and vote for the tickets instead of the individuals?
