Doc ... the book is balanced.
These are old school guys ... telling it straight up ... they conducted tons of interviews from people on all sides of the issue ... people who wanted Hillary to pay attention to Iowa ... who told her to ignore Iowa ... those who wrote off McCain early on ... those who always believed in McCain's appeal ... those who thought that Fred Thompson was the anointed one ... those who knew he would be a disaster of a candidate - detached and uninvolved ... someone who would rather watch TV than make campaign appearances .... those who thought Guiliani was way too "New York" ... those who loved him ... those who worried about Huckabee .... those who didn't think Huckabee had a chance.
I'm not through the Republican primaries yet, but so far, these guys have done a great job in keeping to the facts and interviewing what seems like *everyone* who was involved.
If they had a dog in the hunt, you'd never know it.
It's so nice to read something that does NOT tell me how to think. It's refreshing. For real.
