If you enjoy eating Eagle Brand Milk right out of the can.... you'll love it.
(EBM is great for dipping fresh strawberries in)

The "pie" comes out really SWEET and STICKY.
The "pie" doesn't gell and firm up like Jello.
You have to eat this pie with a spoon, it runs right through a fork.
Again... sweet and sticky... kind of like honey on a very cold day.
Only you choose the flavor.

I think I'll try FREEZING it insted of just putting it in the ice box.......

This may be a pie that I make and feed my kids before I send them to their Grandma and Pop Pop's house! *insert evil laughter here* Then again, if Grandma and Pop Pop read this they may not let my kids come for a visit...lol.

I'm not the only guilty person eating from the can? So good to know, but no need to worry, when I buy a can of Eagle Brand for a pie, I buy another for me. I wouldn't risk a pie not having enough in it, or worry about cross contamination because I couldn't help myself. It's sort of like the milk jug. Why dirty a glass when you only wanted a swig, right?

SmallTown, it could backfire on you. The grandparents could just as easily feed it to your kids before they send them back home to you. That's something I would most likely do.

A quick tip Stan, if you put a little lemon juice in there it will firm the EBM. My granmother used to make the best pink lemonade pie, almost like this, but with a can of concentrated frozen pink lemonade instead of kool-aid, with strawberries and bananas in a graham cracker crust.

Thanks for the tip.... I'll try it.
Isn't it great all the things everyone on the forum are willing to share?

Aloha,
Stan
