Thanks Momof3 for the clearification of NT;)
I actually had to go to quitman yesterday after I was on here and remembered to look.
There are speed limit signs at the city limits, FM1567 both going east and west, and I believe there is one more at the Wood/Hopkins County line. There is still the 60mph sign coming into SS at the city limits too. There are always people driving like morons on that hwy and I know there going faster than 60 I've even been passed in the short passing zones that are on that hwy. I know I already posted it, but HWY 11 to commerce is way safer and straighter than HWY 154. 154 should be 55mph. Does anyone know what they decided about 154 durring the meeting or whatever they had awhile back? Are they going to flatten some hills lower the speed limit again? Add shoulders? Or could they at least make it a 4 lane HWY? I never heard the out come.
Momof3 I belive that the reason 154 gets much better once you cross the Wood/Hopkins Co. line is that it's a Wood county Hwy then. Wood county is an Oil County with more money. (I think, not possitive about that.) I belive that because all of the oil dereks that are in that county. Plus, if you've ever been to wood county, I have lots of family there, Wood Co.'s County roads are mostly paved in oil top. They aren't many dirt county roads. (This is my opinion because I've never seen a dirt county road there) There's also no county road signs on "Drive way looking dead ends"
For lack of a better expression.
