Mr. Echo - Jan. 28, 2009

9.Who the heck is Jacob? — The leader of the Others has to play a pivotal role in this thing and you can bet this one will be answered. Is he a real person? Is he a spirit? A ghost? Jack's dad? Walt? None of this will make sense without knowing who Jacob really is?
8.What about Walt? — How are producers Lindelof and Cuse gonna bring Walt back into this story? We know they ran into a problem when the actor, David Michael Kelley, started growing in real-life far faster than the storyline — but he was too central of a character to just throw away. We were shown early on that Walt had special powers. And what about Aaron? Is he special like Walt? Clair was warned not to have the baby. Why?

6. Who is Richard Alpert? — We know he is a central Other who apparently doesn't age one bit (part of the time traveling??), but who is he? Jacob? Nah ... that wouldn't be much fun. He brought many of the people to the island and seems to be a guiding force for the leader-of-the-day for the Others (Ben and Locke). Expect Richard to be a key to the whole thing.
5.Did the island actually move? — We're guessing not — instead going with the constant time-hopping theory once Ben turned the wheel. But this is another key question that has to be addressed.

3.Healing Properties? — Locke can walk. Rose doesn't have cancer. Jack's injuries healed up fast. Jin is not shooting blanks anymore. How does this happen? These were thought to be the central question of the show a couple of seasons ago. Now .... they are just questions. The time travel issue was thought to be the reason by some, but that doesn't explain Jin. Going back in time won't help his, uh, "father issues." We also want to know why babies can't be born on the island — even though Aaron was and apparently Charlotte?
2.Faraday? — For someone who didn't join the show until Season 4, Daniel Faraday is becoming a key to this whole mess. He obviously understands the time travel issue. He was on the island when Dharma was first building the hatches and he's on the island now. He also knows that you must have a constant to avoid the time-hopping. Faraday is going to solve the puzzle. We just want to know how.

LOST NO MORE!
LOST is back with a vengeance! And, just to be true to form, we've got more questions after the first three episodes than we have answers! But heck .... we've come to expect that, right?

But in the middle of all the new questions and the mysteries, we may have actually found the clue to the entire series: time travel. The time travel theory has been around since the show first started — but it has taken on a new emphasis this season. Try this theory on for size: Pushing the buttons was the key — when the numbers in the hatch were reset, the island stayed in a constant. When the buttons were NOT reset, first by Desmond (which brought the plane down) and again by Locke, the island went into a time hop. When Desmond pulled the fail-safe in the bottom of the hatch, he was sent to the future, which explains his psychic abilities in Season 4. The island going into time-hop phase also explains how the ship's doctor washed up on shore last season -- before he actually died on the ship -- and the communication gaps between the ship and the island. We have to guess that Ben turning the wheel and "moving" the island simply puts the island itself into a continuous time-hop — and, of course, the folks living on the island into the same.
Of course, we need to figure out the connections of Faraday and Charlotte to the island — and Faraday’s connection to Widmore. We've seen that Faraday was there at the same time as the Dharma folks and he knows EXACTLY what is going on. And we're led to believe that his red-headed buddy was born on the island — but does the nose bleed mean she's dead in the future (like the Dharma character who appeared to Locke)? But the biggest shock of all ----- Widmore was on the island with Richard and the Others! The minions just went into spastic convulsions. Perhaps the biggest surprise in the whole series! We have to assume Widmore has Daniel on the payroll to figure out the time travel mess. This is just crazy!
Jack’s Attack
Jack is back baby!
So is Tony.
So is Chloe.
So is Bill.
Mr. Echo and the minions are very happy people!
It's three years since Season 6 (or Day 6), CTU has been disbanded and now the Four Horseman of the Terrorists are on their own trying to stop an African warlord from dooming the world to violence? Sounds plausible. In fact, it sounds downright real (hey, we are running out of bad countries — might as well pick on the warlords).
We've got a few gripes, though, that we need to get out of the way. First, President Allison Taylor is worthless. If this is how Hillary would have acted, we're glad Barack is in the White House. God we miss David Palmer! And her husband? The man who made Michael Keaton a legend has gone goofy trying to find out who killed his son. Just worthless. Surely we could find another way for Jack to have to kill a few members of our own government.
Still, we are loving Tony back in the fold. You knew he wasn't bad — they don't reveal the real bad guys on 24 until we're at least halfway through the season. And we are digging FBI agent Renee Walker. Not only is she hot, she's a pretty tough chick. How many females do you know that can be winged by a bullet, buried alive and then on the move within an hour? This girl is special and much more tolerable than his previous chicks.
Quick timeout ... let's rank'em Mr. Echo style:
5. Nina Myers - Jack cheated on his wife with a terrorist. How fitting!
4. Diane Huxley - She was just a booty call while he was hiding out as Frank, but we've always loved her.
3. Audrey Rains - She was powerful and beautiful. But just a little too whiney.
2. Kate Warner - She knew Arabic, could handle torture and was hot. What more does Jack need?
1. Teri Bauer - Nina killed her. That puts her at the top. It doesn't hurt that she spawned Kim, either!
Okay ... back to our show.
What we need to figure out is who the real bad guy is going to be. The chief of staff? Maybe. We know he's no good — but I'm doubting he's the Big Baddie. We're guessing someone we haven't even met yet. The African warlords just got this thing started. Jack will have them dead in a couple of hours.

Uh ... Can someone please figure out what has happened to Jessica Simpson ---- and FIX IT! The pic on the left is from her “Dukes of Hazzard” days ... the two on the right are from a recent Florida concert. Tony has to be concerned by this development.
