AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety announced today that DPS officers – with the support of the DPS Interdiction for the Protection of Children program – rescued 54 missing, exploited or at-risk children and initiated 33 related criminal investigations in 2015.

Hopkins County Regional Civic Center and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office will not be accessible by phone or internet Monday, Feb. 8, (and worst-case scenario, Tuesday and Wednesday) due to work being done on the system. According to Johanna Hicks with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, individuals needing assistance are welcome to drop by in person and the staff will accommodate their requests.
