Yantis Independent School District this summer was tasked with filling 16 openings, 14 to replace staff and two to fill new positions for new school year. Six of the new staff were hired as administrative and support staff, and the rest filled teaching slots.

Sulphur Springs Independent School District business office reported good news for taxpayers and the district. Unless something changes drastically over the next month, SSISD Business Manger anticipates presenting in August for board approval a balanced operating budget with no increase to the tax rate.
