    SULPHUR SPRINGS – Open auditions for Main Street Theatre’s production of “Over the River and Through the Woods,” a comedy by Joe DiPietro, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 4 through Aug. 6. The comedy, directed by Brenda Payne, needs three men and three women. Four of these cast members will be playing grandparents.

    Home delivered meals are available to rural Hopkins County residents age 60 or older. These meals are funded through the Ark-Tex Area Agency on Aging and are administered by Lamar County Meals on Wheels.

One of the two suspects in Sunday night’s E-Z Mart robbery was taken into custody Tuesday night, thanks to a tip from a Greenville policeman; Sulphur Springs police are still looking for the second man involved.

Jackson Green, 2, checks out a book from Sulphur Springs Public Library employees Lolitha Peoples and Karmon Wright during Teasure Chest Tuesdays at the library. On Tuesdays, children who check out a book will get to choose a free toy from the SSPL treasure chest. Treasure Chest Tuesday ends Aug. 19.
