Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke were perfection in the paso doble to "Habanera" from the opera "Carmen" last night - the crowd was so loud that the announcer was nearly yelling during the introduction ... the room exploded at the end ... and it was certainly warmer in my living room, too. Carrie Ann and Bruno were on the feet after the performance, as it should be. Their 10s were right on.
The ONLY reason Lynn Goodman gave the pair a 9 was because he's a jealous old has-been who probably NEVER looked that good without a shirt.
No one since DWTS began .... and I mean no one ... has danced the paso like these two. Cheryl was always a showy dancer, but this season, she doesn't have to carry her partner ... or cover up any weaknesses ... she's able to get down to the business of dancing ... and what a lovely business it is.
The action starts at 2:00 in ... Does anyone else out there think Marini looks like a much younger, much taller and much more buff Antonio Banderas? Be still, my heart.
