A new book landed on my desk last week. I don't remember requesting a review copy of it, but then, I'm old and worn to a frazzle these days. Plus, my mama taught me not to look a gift horse in the mouth, so I took the book home and put it aside for Sunday.

The Winnsboro Gallery will host a special exhibit of paintings by Ellie Taylor, a contemporary impressionistic painter who lives at Holly Lake Ranch, from Friday, April 17, through Saturday, May 2. 

Chris Botti, all-around cute guy and great trumpet player, had a gig with the Boston Pops at historic Symphony Hall a few months back. So, he invited a few friends to join him on stage and the result is a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

Ukulele expert and all-around nice guy Jake Shimabukuro is releasing a LIVE albumn on April 14.

I am reading the cutest book, Very Valentine, the first in a trilogy about a grandmother and granddaughter who make shoes in a lovely old building in Greenich Village.
