Elizabeth Berg, one of my favorite authors, released her new book, Home Safe, in late April. It hasn't cracked the top 10 on the New York Times bestseller list, but give it time. She always makes the list ... with good reason.
They're down to the final four on "Dancing with the Stars." Last night, each couple did two dances - one ballroom, one Latin - showing off their best moves, trying to impress both the judges and the voting audience.
Just in case ya'll missed it, Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band played at the Pizza Hut Park in Frisco on Saturday. About 27,000 parrotheads (Jimmy's fans) came from all over the country to celebrate life with the world's richest beach bum.
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke were perfection in the paso doble to "Habanera" from the opera "Carmen" last night - the crowd was so loud that the announcer was nearly yelling during the introduction ... the room exploded at the end ... and it was certainly warmer in my living room, too. Carrie Ann and Bruno were on the feet after the performance, as it should be. Their 10s were right on.
Yippety-Skippety. The wait is over. Alexander McCall Smith's delightful series, "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" comes to HBO on Sunday nights at 7 p.m.
