That noise you hear is the Rangers pulling away from the field in the AL West.
It sounds like a sports car flooring it on Interstate 30. This little red sports car could have the power to make it to the finish line.
The Rangers are doing so well, being up 7.5 games on the Angels with porous wings, I am feeling pretty good. I am not counting chickens,
yet, but I am looking around the henhouse.
The thing which encourages me even more than Josh Hamilton's hot bat and Michael Young's glove at third is the pitching. Who knew getting a real ace,
like Cliff Lee, would mean so much. He is just 1-2 in three starts, but he is rubbing off on all the other pitchers. Lee has made all the pitcher's better and even saved the wear and tear on the bullpen.
Not since signing Nolan Ryan has one pitcher meant so much to a staff and franchise.
So if the Rangers keep on doing what they are doing, they will clinch a playoff berth.
Yes, I said it. I hope I have not jinxed the boys of summer.
