Cheaters never win-
That's the way I was taught.
I was never the fastest or the coolest player. What I got was honest and from the sweat
on my brow.
So don't crying to me looking for kind words about cheaters.
Reggie Bush and A-Roid are the latest.
The University of Southern California decided recently to not only return Reggie Bush's ill-gained Heisman Trophy,
but to remove his retired jersey display and wipe off his image from any murals on the USC buildings or hallways.
I applaud this effort and it was needed.
USC is trying to escape the cheating image. They are on probation, they have a new president and a new athletic director in former USC QB Pat Haden.
I like Pat Haden. I went to school with a guy just like Haden. He sat at the front of the class, made straight A's and played quarterback and was a model citizen. While my classmate was not a Rhodes Scholar, he was a rocket scientist at NASA and was a standup guy.
Haden will clean up the program and remove tainted connections to old cheaters like Reg-gie.
Quickly before I barf. Let's talk about Alex Rodriguez, who is heading toward a milestone in cheating - his 600th career home run.
I say to ESPN - or any other network who shows highlights of it- who cares.
Alex is a confessed cheater and does not deserve your attention.
He said he just used steroids while he was a Ranger and dealing with the pressure of his $25 mil a year contract. Get real. If you copied off one paper, then you cheated on the whole test. Out- out- the door and take Tom Hicks with you.
A-Roid chasing Barry Bonds for the all-time lead in home lead in homers what has happened to our national sport.
Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio...
At least the Rangers are still in first place
