Cowboys at least two years late
The Dallas Cowboys released underachieving cornerback Terence Newman and erractic kicker David Buehler on Tuesday, the opening day of free agency in the NFL.
Some people will want to give Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones credit for cutting the two dead weights. Jones deserves no credit.
Cowboys Pay Big Money for Mediocrity
If you needed an indication of where the Dallas Cowboys are headed this year, you got it on Tuesday when they decided to pay $8.8 million to keep mediocre outside linebacker Anthony Spencer as a starter.
The Cowboys continue to live in mediocrity because they reward mediocrity.
