Texas songwriting legend Guy Clark is coming to Poor David's Pub in Dallas for two nights, June 15 and 16. Better act quickly, the show on Wednesday the 15th just been added. The 16th is already sold out.

It’s always disheartening to hear about changes to a favorite band, and when the changes involved the original members fans become even more apprehensive about the future.

Looks like I’m going to see Emmylou Harris at the Winspear Opera House on June 23. Harris is a contemporary of my songwriting hero, Townes Van Zandt. Her cover of “If I Needed You,” was a hit for her in the early 1980s. She was part of Austin City Limit’s tribute to Townes shortly after his death in 1997.
