There’s something good here . . .
Don’t pass up an opportunity to attend a family reunion. It might be the last time you see a loved one. My husband’s family meets at the Sulphur Bluff community center every year on the second Saturday in June with the Jobe-Hargrave clans. We’ll be missing Roy Leon Jobe who died in August. I will certainly miss his sweet smile and gentle disposition. He always had a kind word for everyone.

There’s something good here . . .
Looks like I’m going to see Emmylou Harris at the Winspear Opera House on June 23. Harris is a contemporary of my songwriting hero, Townes Van Zandt. Her cover of “If I Needed You,” was a hit for her in the early 1980s. She was part of Austin City Limit’s tribute to Townes shortly after his death in 1997. Hearing her beautiful voice at the Winspear will be a double treat. (Tickets are $45-$75. Visit www.attpac.org for more information.)
